Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Molecular Microbiologist to join a BMFTR-funded research project, "MiMEndo," at Furtwangen University. The successful candidate will focus on investigating the links between endometriosis and the structure and function of the human microbiome. Day-to-day tasks involve performing NGS-based molecular microbiome analyses on various human samples, correlating results with patient metabolome and health metadata, and deepening the understanding of the interaction between the microbiome, metabolome, and the enteric nervous system in endometriosis patients. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in molecular biology, a PhD, and proven expertise in modern -omics research technologies like metataxonomics and metagenomics.
