Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of radio services across Germany by utilizing technical expertise and modern measurement technology within the Federal Network Agency's Testing and Measurement Service (PMD). Day-to-day tasks include investigating and resolving radio interference reports, verifying compliance with frequency usage regulations, and deactivating unauthorized radio equipment. The technician will conduct various measurements related to frequency allocations, electromagnetic compatibility, and site certifications, often participating in special deployments during major events or state visits. Key requirements include a completed vocational training in electronics (e.g., Information Electronics, Devices and Systems, or IT/Telecommunications Technology), basic technical knowledge in high-frequency, communications, radio, and measurement technology, and flexibility for 24/7 shift work and on-call duties.
