Job Summary

This critical role as an Electronics Technician in Testing and Measurement (PMD) for the Federal Network Agency involves ensuring the stable and interference-free operation of radio services across Germany, including critical infrastructure like mobile communication, internet, and safety systems (Police, Fire Department). Day-to-day responsibilities include investigating and resolving radio interference reports, verifying the compliance of radio systems with legal and technical standards, and decommissioning unauthorized equipment. The technician will perform various specialized measurements related to frequency allocation, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), and emission control, often involving fieldwork and participation in special assignments during major events or state visits. Candidates must have completed a relevant technical vocational training (e.g., Information Electronics or Telecommunications Technology) and possess a foundational understanding of high-frequency and measurement technology, or the willingness to acquire it. This position requires flexibility for 24/7 shift work and offers an unlimited contract with opportunities for career advancement within the public service.
