The successful candidate will conduct investigations into the corrosion resistance of various high-temperature materials in chloride salt melts, aiming to identify materials suitable for long-term operation in pump components. Day-to-day tasks involve performing static corrosion tests in a lab setting, modifying a pilot plant for experiments in flowing salt melts, and conducting detailed material analyses to understand corrosion mechanisms.
