Job Summary

This role involves working as a Data Scientist within the Institute for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine, focusing on developing cutting-edge, AI-based gesture controls for smart medical devices, such as urinary catheters. The day-to-day responsibilities include the full lifecycle of AI model development: data preparation (collecting, cleaning, and transforming data), analyzing complex sensor and image data (specifically optoelectronic sensors), and designing, training, and validating machine learning models like neural networks. A successful candidate must possess a university degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Physics, Engineering) and demonstrated expertise in Python, along with essential Data Science libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn. Required Skills

Education

University degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a comparable field

Experience

  • Proven knowledge in statistical analysis and developing/training predictive models (e.g., Neural Networks, Random Forests, MLPs)
  • Experience and interest in Computer Vision, particularly analyzing image and sensor data
  • Experience in developing solutions for complex technical challenges
