This role offers an exciting opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg as a Mass Spectrometry Scientist, focusing on developing and validating advanced analytical methods for protein analysis in diagnostic tests. The successful candidate will be integral to an interdisciplinary team, applying a wide range of mass spectrometry-supported techniques to guide the development of proteinaceous reagents. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and optimizing (U)HPLC-MS(/MS) methods, performing structural analysis of proteins in complex matrices like body fluids, and transferring test methods to quality control labs. You will also be responsible for maintaining sophisticated HPLC and MS instruments, leading small project teams, and presenting results to various stakeholders. This position requires a strong background in instrumental analytics, fluency in both German and English, and a high degree of reliability and solution-oriented thinking to contribute to a dynamic and innovative development environment.
