Job Summary

The City of Konstanz is seeking a highly motivated and structured leader to take on the role of Head of Accounting Department and Deputy Head of Treasury. This position is critical for managing the city's financial operations, including payment transactions, business partner accounting, and cash resource management. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of 13 employees in the accounting department and acting as the deputy head for the entire treasury team (21 employees). Key responsibilities include optimizing business processes, actively participating in digitalization and e-payment projects, and representing the Treasury Head in areas such as loans and investments. This role requires a degree in Public Management or Business Administration, professional experience in finance and accounting—preferably within the municipal sector—and strong leadership potential, offering excellent opportunities for professional development within a large, attractive public employer.
