Job Summary

This role involves working as an IT Specialist within the Innovation and Knowledge Management department of a federal agency focused on cutting-edge cybersecurity research. The successful candidate will systematically monitor national, European, and international research and technology landscapes, specifically focusing on cybersecurity and related key technologies. Day-to-day tasks include conducting data-driven trend and scenario analyses, strategic foresight projects, and technology impact assessments to identify future-oriented research fields. You will be responsible for developing action plans for initiating groundbreaking cybersecurity projects, preparing tender documents, and managing external service providers. Key requirements include a technical Master's degree (ideally in Computer Science or IT Security), fluent German, and business-fluent English. Required Skills

Education

Master's degree (or equivalent university diploma) in Computer Science, Administrative or Business Informatics, IT Security, Information Technology, or comparable technical fields

Experience

  • Interest and ideally experience in cybersecurity or related key technologies
  • Experience in applied basic research, R&D, or innovation management (desirable)
  • Methodological knowledge in Trend and Foresight analysis, Monitoring, Scouting, Scanning, and Strategic Foresight (desirable)
