Job Summary
This Doctoral Researcher position, based in Berlin-Adlershof at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM), focuses on cutting-edge experimental and data-driven research within the DFG-funded CALISO-ML project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and validating methods for isotope-sensitive molecular spectroscopy of Calcium. This role requires a Master's degree in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science, alongside initial experience in experimental laboratory work, instrumental analysis, and complex data evaluation using environments like Python, R, or MATLAB. What makes this opportunity particularly attractive is the joint supervision by experienced scientists from BAM, Humboldt University of Berlin, and the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Required Skills
Education
Successfully completed scientific university degree (Diploma/Master) in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or comparable field; Fulfillment of admission requirements for a PhD in Chemistry at Humboldt University of Berlin
Experience
- First relevant experience in experimental laboratory work
- First relevant experience in instrumental analysis
- Experience in computer-aided evaluation of complex measurement data
