Job Summary

The City of Potsdam is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of IT Infrastructure and Service to join its growing municipal administration. This full-time, permanent leadership role involves overseeing the entire IT Infrastructure and Service department, ensuring the development, implementation, and control of departmental goals in alignment with broader business objectives. Key responsibilities include personnel leadership, organizational development, and ensuring internal communication within the area. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and coordinating major ICT infrastructure projects, developing application planning, and contributing significantly to the ongoing evolution of the city’s IT strategy. This position requires a Master's degree in IT or a related field, coupled with extensive professional and leadership experience in ICT, preferably within the public sector, and strong expertise in IT Service, Infrastructure, and Project Management.
