Job Summary

This leadership role involves the overall management of the Administration, Business, and Law competence area within the Youth Welfare Office (Jugendamt). The Head is responsible for the professional and personnel leadership of five team leaders covering critical areas such as Economic Youth Welfare, Child Maintenance Advance Payments, Daycare Financing, Guardianships, and Child Support. Key responsibilities include ensuring high-quality, legally compliant service delivery according to SGB VIII (Social Code Book VIII), developing professional standards, and analyzing legal changes to implement necessary measures. The successful candidate will require a degree in Public Management or a comparable field (e.g., Law, Social Administration), proven leadership experience, and deep expertise in Child and Youth Welfare Law. This position offers challenging tasks, strategic process management, and cooperation with internal and external partners, including courts and political committees, while also serving as deputy to the Department Head for Children, Youth, and Family.
