Job Summary

The Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg (JMU) is seeking an Innovation Scout to join the Research and Technology Transfer Service Center (SFT). This role is crucial for identifying and commercializing innovative research outcomes across technical, natural, and economic sciences. Day-to-day responsibilities include strategically scouting for innovative research, designing formats for innovation exchange, assessing the commercial potential of new ideas, and providing individual support to knowledge-based business concepts leading to spin-offs. The successful candidate will also identify relevant public funding programs, prepare application outlines, and actively manage the associated grant processes. This position requires a scientific university degree, preferably a PhD, and strong networking and communication skills, offering a unique opportunity to bridge academic research with economic application.

Education

Completed university degree with a scientific focus (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Economics), preferably with a PhD

Experience

  • Professional experience in transferring innovative ideas and scientific results into economic application
  • Experience in acquiring funding is desirable
