Job Summary

The Institute of Pathology at Julius-Maximilians University Würzburg is seeking a highly motivated Scientific Doctoral Researcher to join a project focused on understanding the molecular pathogenesis of Follicular Lymphoma (FL). This part-time (65%), fixed-term position (3 years) involves extensive laboratory work, including tissue processing, DNA/RNA isolation, PCR, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) of immunoglobulin genes. The successful candidate will also be responsible for advanced histopathology techniques like Tissue Microarray production, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and spatial profiling. A core component of the role is the bioinformatics analysis and interpretation of complex datasets, requiring knowledge of tools like R or Python. This role is ideal for a candidate with a background in Biology, Biomedicine, or Biochemistry who is motivated to pursue independent research, develop new techniques, and contribute to scientific publications written in English.
