Job Summary

The Project Engineer / Hydrogeologist will be based in Witten and focus on complex hydrogeological and hydraulic engineering projects within Germany and neighboring Europe. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing proposals for groundwater modeling, dewatering systems, and contaminant transport calculations. The role involves determining and evaluating hydrological parameters (e.g., groundwater recharge, flood risk), designing and assessing hydraulic field and laboratory tests (pumping tests, infiltration tests), and dimensioning infiltration systems. A key aspect is performing 2D and 3D groundwater modeling (using tools like FeFlow and Modflow) and calculating pollutant plumes. Candidates should possess a degree in Civil Engineering (specializing in Hydraulics/Hydraulic Engineering) or Geology/Hydrogeology. While two years of professional experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. Proficiency in standard Office applications and specialized hydrogeological software is advantageous. This position offers an unlimited contract, flexible working hours, and extensive professional development opportunities within a growing, family-friendly engineering firm.
