This role is for a Project Engineer or Hydrogeologist to join a leading engineering consultancy in Witten, focusing on complex projects related to water management, ground stability, and environmental protection across Germany and Europe. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing proposals for hydrogeological investigations, groundwater modeling, and contaminant transport calculations. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and coordinating field explorations, performing hydraulic calculations (e.g., groundwater lowering, infiltration systems dimensioning), and preparing water rights applications. Key qualifications include a university degree in Civil Engineering (specializing in Hydraulics/Hydraulic Engineering) or Geology/Hydrogeology, proficiency with relevant software (GGU, FeFlow, ModFlow), and strong German language skills (C1). Required Skills

Education

Experience

  • 2 years of professional experience in hydraulics, water engineering, or hydrogeology (preferred, but not mandatory)
  • Professional experience in proposal preparation and coordination
  • Experience with hydraulic field testing and laboratory analysis
  • Experience in complex engineering projects
