Job Summary

This role is an opportunity for an environmental professional to join the Resilience team in Hamburg, focusing on protecting natural environments and water resources through the investigation and remediation of contaminated sites. The Project/Field Engineer will undertake significant fieldwork, including the independent planning and execution of complex sampling activities for groundwater, surface water, wastewater, soil, and waste, ensuring compliance with relevant norms and guidelines. Key responsibilities also include the coordination and construction supervision of field and remediation works, maintenance of sampling equipment, and assisting Project Managers in preparing technical reports. Candidates should possess an environmental science degree or equivalent, ideally bringing initial professional experience in contaminated site processing or environmental sampling. This position is ideal for those who are passionate about sustainable solutions, enjoy practical, self-directed work in the field, and possess strong German and good English language skills.
