Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced FinOps specialist to join the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) at Germany's largest pension insurance provider, Deutsche Rentenversicherung Bund, in Berlin. The primary focus is on optimizing and managing complex cloud costs within a highly sophisticated IT system landscape. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating cloud service budgets, creating standardized cost reports for continuous analysis, developing cost forecasts, and refining metrics and tools for efficient cost control. The manager will also develop strategies for optimizing cloud resource utilization, evaluate external cloud provider billing models (e.g., Pay per Use, Reserved Instances), and advise cost center managers on strategic cloud budget matters. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business Administration, Business Informatics, or a related field, possesses several years of relevant finance and controlling experience, and is proficient with data analysis and reporting tools.
