Job Summary

This role is based within the Security Operations Center (SOC) of Germany's largest pension insurance provider, where you will be responsible for the operational IT security of a highly complex system landscape. Day-to-day, you will manage, configure, and optimize the Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) system. Key tasks include designing use cases, onboarding new data sources, ensuring data quality, and developing automation processes. Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in IT, or an equivalent qualification such as IT-specific vocational training combined with relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Several years of practical professional experience in setting up one or more security platforms (e.g., SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR, SOAR).
  • Professional experience in data center infrastructure, operating systems (Linux/Windows), container environments, and network protocols.
  • Experience in use case design, implementation, and lifecycle management within a security context.
  • Experience in integrating SOC systems with third-party tools such as ticketing systems via APIs.
