Job Summary
This Senior IT System Engineer role focuses on the automation and configuration of complex IT services, primarily supporting the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical implementation of automated installation and configuration routines for server systems and applications based on service designs (LOM). Day-to-day tasks involve close coordination with Service Architects regarding design and product knowledge, collaboration with modelers on the architecture model in Sparx EA, and defining best practices for automation within the military IT environment (GMN 1.0). This position requires deep experience in scripting, specifically PowerShell and DSC, and familiarity with Microsoft server products (Exchange, SharePoint). This is a critical role contributing to the security and digital future of one of Germany's largest and most complex IT infrastructures, requiring a high level of security awareness and technical expertise.

Completed university degree or vocational training in the IT field
Experience
- Approximately 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Extensive experience in automating installation and configuration routines for server systems and applications
- Desirable experience with Ansible
- Experience with Microsoft server products
