Job Summary

This role as an Electrical Testing Technician is crucial for ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of electricity metering devices, system components, and transducers used across Germany's largest distribution network. Based in Essen-Kettwig, you will be responsible for the operation of the state-recognized testing center ENW1, contributing significantly to the Smart Meter Rollout and the digitalization of the grid. Day-to-day tasks involve independently developing and aligning testing concepts and specifications, coordinating qualification procedures (planning, monitoring, and documentation), and performing precise calibration, acceptance, and official sampling tests. You will also handle troubleshooting, fault analysis, and commissioning of testing facilities, including accompanying modernization projects. The ideal candidate possesses a background as a Certified Technician or equivalent, specializing in Energy or Industrial Electronics, and is either already qualified as a Testing Center Manager or committed to acquiring this certification through the German Academy for Metrology (DAM).
