Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Web Developer to contribute to Germany's digital sovereignty by working on the BundesMessenger, a secure, open-source communication platform vital for public administration. The role focuses on the conception and implementation of demanding features for web applications, leveraging modern technologies like React and TypeScript. Key responsibilities include ensuring outstanding code quality through meticulous testing and code reviews, continuous performance and security analysis, and close collaboration within agile, interdisciplinary teams (UX, Backend, DevOps). Candidates should bring approximately four years of professional experience in frontend development, deep expertise in complex Single-Page Applications, and strong knowledge of clean code, maintainable architecture, and web accessibility standards (WCAG). This position offers the chance to develop a product that makes a significant difference as a primary digitalization partner for the German Armed Forces.

University degree or comparable training in the IT field

Experience

  • Approximately 4 years in frontend development
  • Experience in realizing complex Single-Page Applications
  • Professional experience implementing accessible web applications (WCAG)
  • Experience acting as a technical sparring partner and mentor for team members
