Job Summary

This role involves shaping the future of payment solutions within the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe by joining the S-Payment team, a key driver for payment topics in Germany. The professional will focus on building and maintaining a central, company-wide data platform crucial for data and AI use cases, specifically within the dynamic payment environment. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing new data-driven use cases, ensuring high data quality across departments, and inspiring business units with innovative data-driven ideas. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or similar data sciences), coupled with foundational knowledge in Big Data technologies like Python, Spark/PySpark, Hadoop, and SQL. Success in this role requires a passion for complex data relationships and the ability to present results using dashboarding tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or Grafana, alongside fluent German and good English skills.
