Job Summary
This role is a critical position within the State Construction Office of Amberg-Sulzbach, focusing on planning and executing construction and maintenance projects for state, federal, and district roads, specifically within the Structural Engineering (Bridge Construction) department. The Project Engineer will be responsible for drafting and reviewing bridge designs, managing the tendering and awarding process, and providing technical oversight and control for bridge projects. Key tasks include managing external engineering firms, experts, and testing engineers, and rigorously reviewing execution documentation. The ideal candidate must possess a degree in Civil Engineering, demonstrate strong decision-making skills, self-initiative, and excellent communication abilities, particularly fluent German language skills, to successfully manage complex public infrastructure projects.

University degree (Bachelor, Master, or Diploma) in Civil Engineering
Experience
- Professional experience in structural engineering or bridge construction is implied by the role's responsibilities
- Experience in managing and steering external engineering offices and experts
- Experience with public sector construction projects (State and Federal roads) is beneficial
