Job Summary

This position is for a Research Associate and PhD Student within the MSCA Doctoral Network SLICE, focusing on the critical area of rocket engine emission propagation and its climatic influence. The role, based at TUD Dresden University of Technology, involves defining interface regions, conducting numerical analysis of plume propagation in the near field, and performing multiscale simulations of engine exhaust plume expansion across different atmospheric layers. The successful candidate will need a strong background in aerospace engineering, physics, or similar fields, coupled with solid knowledge in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), numerical analysis, and fluid mechanics. This is a highly specialized, full-time research position for 36 months, offering the unique opportunity to contribute to significant climate and space research, including mandatory secondments in France to collaborate on numerical models and plume-in-grid simulations.
