Job Summary

This role is a unique opportunity for an Electrical Engineer specializing in Power Engineering to join the Institute for Electrical Power Supply and High Voltage Technology at TU Dresden as a Research Associate and PhD Candidate. The successful candidate will focus on networked energy systems, specifically within the 'Smart Grid' working group. Day-to-day tasks involve academic teaching and research, developing novel methods for grid and system control management to handle increasing system dynamics, and building and maintaining the institute's grid control system. A key responsibility is integrating this system into ongoing projects and creating necessary interfaces. The position requires a strong academic background in electrical engineering, fluency in both German and English, and solid knowledge of grid control technology and associated protocols. This 36-month position offers the chance for scientific further qualification (typically a PhD) and involvement in cutting-edge research projects, including project acquisition and publishing results in international forums.
