Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Mannheim, focusing on the autonomous execution of technical activities crucial for developing diagnostic test systems. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting variance and comparative analyses, batch and tolerance evaluations, and verifying system and assay performance. Key tasks include creating experimental designs and work instructions, performing trials, statistically evaluating results, and presenting findings to the team. Candidates should ideally have a completed vocational training as a Chemical Laboratory Assistant or Chemical Technician, coupled with solid professional experience in system development within the chemical industry, particularly in Point of Care (PoC) diagnostic systems. Proficiency in German (written and spoken) and basic English is required, along with experience using MS Office and statistical evaluation tools like JMP. This position is initially temporary and managed through an employment agency, with a strong focus on potential permanent takeover by Roche.
