Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Facility Management division for Thuringia Youth Hostels, focusing on maintaining and modernizing 16 exceptional locations. The Technical Employee will be responsible for executing technical maintenance, performing repairs, and coordinating external service partners across various sites. Key responsibilities include handling technical upkeep, assisting with modernization projects, and collaborating closely with hostel operational managers. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant technical trade qualification, preferably in electrical engineering, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning), or the main construction trades. Essential soft skills include being a flexible, resilient team player with strong motivation, quality awareness, and service orientation. Proficiency in German and modern communication tools, including MS Office and cloud applications, is required for this permanent, full-time position based near Weimar, with a planned start in the first half of 2026.
