Job Summary

This role offers an opportunity to join Roche Diagnostics GmbH in Penzberg, focusing on cutting-edge biotechnology and laboratory automation. The associate will be responsible for applying complex automation procedures, particularly modern Liquid Handling systems (e.g., Epmotion, Beckmann), for the production and analysis of DNA and proteins. Daily duties include the in silico construction and registration of novel proteins, creation of plasmids, and execution of transient or stable expression in host cells. Furthermore, you will conduct nucleic acid and protein analytics, including purification and characterization using advanced biochemical and biophysical methods such as HPLC, FPLC, and spectroscopy. A key component of the role involves evaluating results using specialized software, ensuring meticulous documentation, and independently organizing laboratory operations and maintaining equipment. Candidates must hold a completed scientific qualification (e.g., MTA or BTA), possess strong knowledge in DNA work, PCR, and automation, and have intermediate English proficiency.
