Job Summary
This Senior Project Engineer role involves the critical certification of offshore wind projects across Germany and Europe, focusing on ensuring compliance with stringent national and international technical standards and norms (such as BSH, IEC/IECRE, and DIN EN). The professional will be responsible for reviewing design bases, construction documents, manufacturing specifications, and technical drawings for offshore structures (Jackets, Topsides, Towers, etc.) and wind turbine components. Key day-to-day activities include independent project management for assigned sub-projects, creating inspection reports, and issuing conformity certificates. The position requires a technical degree and significant experience in the wind energy sector, specifically in certification, design, or manufacturing of offshore steel structures, offering the flexibility of working from Hamburg or remotely via a home office setup.
Required Skills
Education
Completed technical degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Offshore and Plant Technology, Shipbuilding, Renewable Offshore Energies, Civil Engineering)
Experience
- Relevant experience in the wind energy sector in certification, design of offshore steel structures, or manufacturing of offshore steel structures (Jacket, Topside, MP/TP, Towers)
- Alternatively, relevant professional experience from comparable maritime infrastructure projects
- Experience in handling national and international standards and norms (e.g., BSH, IEC/IECRE, and DIN EN)
- Experience collaborating with international project teams (advantageous)
