Job Summary

This role involves the administration, optimization, and future development of file-based editing systems for audio production (e.g., ProTools, Sequoia, Adobe CC) and networked studio infrastructure, including sound studios and control rooms. The Engineer will serve as a 2nd Level Support expert, handling monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs, and updates, while meticulously documenting systems and workflows. Key responsibilities also include collaborating with production operations on the procurement, installation, commissioning, configuration, and testing of hardware and software. Candidates must possess a technical degree or equivalent professional experience, strong knowledge of digital audio, video, and network technology, and proficiency in administering macOS and Windows in enterprise environments. This position requires flexibility for occasional evening, weekend, or holiday shifts, offering a unique opportunity to contribute expertise to a major public broadcasting corporation.

Completed technical degree (e.g., Audiovisual Media, Media Technology, Communications Engineering, Media Informatics) or comparable qualification

Experience
