Job Summary

This role involves managing and advancing the Geoinformation System (GIS) for the Rural Area Service Center Mosel, primarily focusing on agricultural funding control processes. The specialist will be responsible for the reliable operation, maintenance, and conceptual development of the GIS, ensuring it meets the requirements of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). Key tasks include managing and processing remote sensing data (Sentinel, Landsat, etc.), performing complex data analysis to support control procedures, and leading related GIS and geodata projects. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in geodata management, GIS applications (ArcGIS/QGIS), database systems (PostgreSQL), and programming for system development (Python/R).
