Job Summary

This role seeks an Electrical Engineer to manage and oversee the electrical infrastructure and telematics systems within road tunnels for the State Office for Road Construction and Transport (LASuV) in Dresden. The engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of tunnel equipment, including planning and preparing tender documents for tunnel systems, lightning and surge protection, and overseeing construction, commissioning, and maintenance. Key responsibilities also involve coordinating with safety officers and emergency services, managing energy consumption, and implementing and operating digital radio systems (BOS). A crucial component of this position is participating in a mandatory 24/7 on-call rotation as Tunnel Manager for one week at a time. The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, possess professional experience in tunnel systems, and demonstrate fluent German language skills and a Class B driving license.

Required Skills

Education

University of Applied Sciences Diploma (FH) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related suitable field

Experience

  • Professional experience in tunnel systems
  • Experience in road construction administration (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant guidelines and regulations (e.g., EABT 80/100, RE-Ing. Part 3)
