Job Summary

This role involves actively shaping the future of confocal laser microscopy by developing innovative, agent-based AI software solutions for microscopy applications, specifically focusing on agentic AI. The engineer will manage the entire software lifecycle, encompassing requirements analysis, solution design, data analysis and processing, implementation, integration, validation, and documentation. A key responsibility is ensuring high quality standards in close collaboration with the Quality Assurance team and coordinating development activities within the project team. This position requires a strong background in Computer Science, Engineering, or Natural Sciences, coupled with professional experience in AI, ML, NLP, and Data Science, offering a challenging environment at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and life sciences research within a globally leading company, Leica Microsystems, based in Mannheim.
