Job Summary

The Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BayLfV), a major German domestic intelligence service, is seeking an IT System Engineer to support critical security operations in Munich. This role involves the daily operation and maintenance of both Windows and Linux client and server systems, alongside the ongoing development and support of the communication and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will also manage IT projects, create essential system documentation, and participate in internal and external committees. Key requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Communications Technology, proven experience managing IP-based networks and operating systems, and excellent German language skills. This position offers a stable, permanent contract and the opportunity to transition into a civil servant role (Beamtenverhältnis) within a vital organization dedicated to protecting democracy and fundamental rights against extremism, espionage, and cyber threats.
