Job Summary

This role involves providing remote and on-site infrastructure support for a full-service IT provider specializing in serving small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Munich and Upper Bavaria. The Infrastructure Technician will be responsible for commissioning, maintaining, and documenting customer IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and managing networks, routers, firewalls, and Office 365 environments. Key duties include the installation and setup of IT systems and the administration of infrastructure running on Windows, Linux, and Apple operating systems. The ideal candidate must have a completed technical education (e.g., IT System Integration Specialist, Electronics Technician) and possess strong practical knowledge of current server systems, MS Exchange, Cloud solutions, Backups, and Security. This position offers a competitive salary up to €75,000, the possibility of a 4-day work week supplemented by on-call duty, and potential for home office work, along with a permanent contract after an initial temporary placement.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electronics Technician for Devices and Systems, IT Specialist for System Integration, Industrial System Technician, IT System Electronics Technician, IT Service Technician, Information Electronics Technician, PC and Network Specialist, or comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT Administration
  • Experience in IT infrastructure and network management
  • Practical knowledge of current server systems running Windows, Linux, and/or Apple operating systems
  • Experience with MS Exchange, Cloud solutions, Backups, and Security
