Job Summary

The City of Mainz is seeking a Specialist Engineer to join its Building Management department, focusing on Measurement, Control, and Regulation (MCR) Technology and Building Automation (BA). This role involves leading and coordinating complex building projects (new construction, renovation, conversion) according to HOAI standards (Technical Equipment, Cost Group 480ff). Day-to-day responsibilities include specialized construction management, planning and coordinating individual measures, and supporting colleagues in maintenance and recurring inspections. A key part of the role is maintaining and developing the technical standards for Cost Group 480ff in cooperation with relevant authorities, and drafting specifications. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Building Automation, MCR Technology, or Electrical/Supply Engineering with a focus on BA/MCR, possesses professional experience in MCR/BA application, and is proficient in project management, relevant DIN/VDI standards, and MS Office.
