The Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, and Transport of North Rhine-Westphalia is seeking a Specialist for Digital Communication for a fixed-term project until December 31, 2027, focusing on professionalizing image and moving image communication. This role is crucial for visually preparing information for social media and the ministry's website, ensuring topics are communicated clearly and attractively to target audiences. Day-to-day tasks involve conceptualizing and designing visual content, from infographics and website assets to Instagram Reels, and developing a structured approach for visual content management. The specialist will also conceive and establish various video formats (short clips, explainer videos, animations) within the team, including hands-on implementation, shooting, and post-production (editing, sound, motion graphics). Key qualifications include a scientific Master's degree in Graphic or Media Design and proven professional experience in video production, editing, and using tools like the Adobe Creative Suite, emphasizing strong creative flair for digital design and typography.

Required Skills

Education

Completed scientific university degree (Master's, Diploma, Magister) in Graphic Design, Media Design, or a comparable field. Accredited Master's degree from a university of applied sciences is also accepted.

Experience

  • Professional experience in conception, production, and video editing of images and moving images for digital channels, especially social media
  • Professional experience with cutting and image editing programs (e.g., Edits, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Professional experience in photography and image editing

  • The position is fixed-term until December 31, 2027, in accordance with Section 14 (1) No. 1 of the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act (TzBfG). Applicants must be prepared to participate in an assessment center procedure (including work sample, role-play, and interview).
