Job Summary

This long-term, full-time position (35 hours/week) in Kiel, Germany, focuses on Systems Engineering within the defense industry. The Systems Engineer is responsible for performing detailed system analyses and specifying requirements at the subsystem level, ensuring alignment with the overall system design and achieving optimal system architecture. Day-to-day activities involve utilizing modern methods such as architecture modeling, Use Cases, and functional block diagrams to guarantee subsystem performance. A critical component of the role is the analysis, evaluation, and implementation tracking of all technical changes. The role demands extensive interdisciplinary collaboration with experts across fields like FEA, EMC, Safety, and Environmental requirements, alongside supporting project planning, budgeting, and quality reporting. Candidates must hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical Engineering), possess several years of professional experience, and be proficient in both German and English, as well as Systems Engineering tools like DOORS and Enterprise Architect.

Required Skills

Successfully completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Technology, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable technical field

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in a comparable position
  • Experience in vehicle system development (ideally)
  • Experience in the defense, automotive, or aerospace industry (advantageous)
