Job Summary

This role involves acting as a Subject Matter Expert in technology and project consulting, specifically focusing on public research funding within ground-based vehicle and traffic technologies. The core focus areas include autonomous driving, software-defined vehicles, data ecosystems, and artificial intelligence (AI). Day-to-day tasks include assessing and evaluating the innovation content of R&D projects, providing expert opinions and presentations, and organizing innovation support measures like workshops and conferences to disseminate research findings. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in a natural science or engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering) and possesses strong expertise in autonomous driving systems, AI application in the mobility sector, and software platforms/data ecosystems. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape future mobility technologies in a consulting capacity while requiring high proficiency in both German (C1) and English (B2.2).

Required Skills

Education

University degree in natural sciences or engineering (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics) or equivalent relevant degree

Experience

  • Understanding of technologies and challenges in autonomous driving, including sensor technology, data processing, and vehicle control
  • Experience in the application of AI technologies, optimally within the vehicle and mobility industry
  • Prior knowledge from project activities in the described work areas (ideally)
  • Knowledge in the development and implementation of software platforms, data ecosystems, and in-vehicle computer architectures (optimally)
