Job Summary

This position calls for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join the Individual Application Services unit, focusing on the development and maintenance of web applications for university administration and students. The core responsibilities involve the operation, maintenance, and continuous evolution of the existing DevOps landscape. A key function is the conception and implementation of automated deployment processes, taking responsibility for CI/CD methodologies using modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker/Podman, and Ansible. You will also manage monitoring, logging, and incident handling within the DevOps domain, working closely with development teams to optimize build and deployment pipelines. Candidates must possess a completed university degree or several years of relevant professional experience, coupled with strong knowledge of DevOps tools like Git and Terraform. Proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2) is required. This is an attractive, unlimited contract offering flexible working hours (30-40 hours/week) and significant home office possibilities (up to two days weekly).

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience (or comparable qualifications)
  • Experience with Infrastructure Automation and Configuration Management (Ansible, Helm, Terraform) preferred

  • Experience with system monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki) preferred
