Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Membrane Biophysics by managing essential laboratory operations and providing administrative assistance for research projects. The Physics Laboratory Technician will be responsible for maintaining established cell cultures, overseeing laboratory resources, managing the ordering process, and assisting with the administration and financial settlement of research projects using SAP. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, proficiency in electronic data processing (including MS Office and SAP), and a high degree of diligence and reliability. While a background as a biological or medical technical assistant is beneficial, the core requirements include a keen interest in working with biological materials, excellent teamwork capabilities, and strong proficiency in both German (C1) and English (B2). This is a full-time, permanent position offering a stable work environment and opportunities for further training.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a biological-technical assistant or medical assistant, or equivalent natural science qualification is beneficial but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Professional experience in laboratory management or technical assistance is beneficial
  • Professional experience using SAP for project administration/settlement
