Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Hardware Test Engineer specializing in Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems, joining a reliable engineering partner in Erlangen, Germany. The primary focus is on ensuring the quality and reliability of critical control hardware, particularly within environments requiring adherence to nuclear standards. Day-to-day tasks involve reviewing requirement specifications and design descriptions, evaluating complex analog and digital circuits, and creating detailed specifications for functional and environmental testing. The engineer will be responsible for setting up, implementing, and modifying appropriate test rigs and simulation environments, executing rigorous functional and environmental tests on I&C hardware components, and meticulously documenting all test runs and results. Key qualifications include a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, professional experience in electronics development or validation, strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit technology, and proficiency in test documentation and configuration management. Excellent German and good English skills are mandatory, as German is the primary working language for project execution. Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in electronics development or validation
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics and circuit technology
  • Knowledge in creating and reviewing Design, Test, and V&V documents
  • Knowledge in setting up test rigs and conducting tests, including Test, Requirement, and Configuration Management
