Job Summary

This role seeks a motivated Research Associate/Expert to drive the sustainable digital transformation and Circular Economy (CE) initiatives within the Transferhub at Ruhr West University. Day-to-day responsibilities involve conducting research to develop and refine CE indicators, such as Product-Carbon-Footprint and sustainability reporting systems, and analyzing relevant regulatory frameworks and existing norms. The expert will guide interdisciplinary teams, produce scientific publications, and transfer project findings into academic teaching and practical application for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the northern Ruhr area. Key requirements include a completed Master's degree, proven expertise in indicator development, and strong scientific publishing experience. The position offers a responsible, varied role with flexible working hours on a modern campus, contributing directly to strengthening regional businesses in the pursuit of 'Triple Zero' goals (Zero Waste, Zero Pollution, Zero Carbon).
