Job Summary

This role is for a Design Engineer specializing in high-voltage substations and utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies within Hamburg's largest energy distribution network operator. The engineer will be responsible for designing, detailing, and analyzing execution variants for new constructions, modifications, and expansions of supply facilities in the high-voltage network. Key daily tasks include creating structural and primary technical execution documents using CAD tools and BIM workflows, ensuring information quality within BIM projects, and managing associated tools and model responsibility. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering, possesses experience with high-voltage systems/substations, and demonstrates proficiency in 3D modeling using Revit and project Common Data Environments (CDEs). Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or comparable discipline

Experience

  • Professional experience in high-voltage systems or substations (desirable)
  • Experience in 3D modeling with Revit
  • Experience using a Project Common Data Environment (ideally Autodesk Construction Cloud)
