Job Summary
This role involves working as a Chemical Specialist in Gütersloh, focusing on the responsible and sustainable handling of hazardous and special waste. Day-to-day tasks include identifying, declaring, and classifying special and laboratory chemical waste according to waste and hazardous materials law, determining appropriate disposal and recovery methods. The specialist will independently conduct laboratory tests, set chemical-physical parameters for quantitative analysis, and ensure regulatory compliance within the hazardous material intermediate storage facility. Key qualifications include a background in chemistry (e.g., as a Chemical Laboratory Technician or Chemical-Technical Assistant), experience in waste management or disposal is beneficial, and the willingness to perform physical labor outdoors while being medically fit for respirator use.
