Job Summary

This role is for a Lead Technician (Foreman) specializing in Control and Safety Technology within the rail and infrastructure sector, contributing to the modernization of energy, telecommunications, and rail infrastructure across Germany. The successful candidate will assume technical leadership on construction sites, coordinating installation teams and ensuring the seamless execution of work. Key responsibilities include installing and commissioning signaling and switch technology systems, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines, quality standards, and safety regulations. You will serve as a crucial interface, coordinating closely with construction and project management as well as clients. Candidates must possess a completed vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., as an electronics technician or mechatronics technician), coupled with several years of professional experience in control and safety technology, ideally as a Signal Mechanic or Master Craftsman. This position offers an indefinite contract and significant net allowances in addition to the hourly wage, alongside opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in the electrical engineering field (e.g., Electronics Technician for Operational Technology, Mechatronics Technician, or comparable qualification)

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in control and safety technology
  • Experience as a Signal Mechanic or Master Craftsman (ideal)
  • Initial experience in a Lead Technician / Foreman position (or readiness to step into this role)
