Job Summary

Join the Bavarian State Office for Taxes, a key IT service provider for tax administration and justice, as a (Junior) Linux System Administrator. This role involves actively shaping the operation of a complex Linux environment within the Northern Data Center. Day-to-day responsibilities include the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and expansion of the entire IT infrastructure, focusing on planning, designing, installing, developing, and operating Linux systems and cluster solutions across virtual, physical, and container-based server landscapes. You will also be crucial in automating IT workflows using Puppet and Git, ensuring security measures adhere to BSI IT-Grundschutz standards, and managing documentation and change requests. Key qualifications include a university degree in IT or equivalent professional experience, coupled with multi-year experience in Linux system administration and proficiency in scripting languages like Shell, Bash, and Python. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor, Diploma (FH)) in IT fields (Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, or similar), or comparable knowledge and skills acquired through relevant professional experience.
