Job Summary

The Goethe University Frankfurt is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the Institute of Cardiovascular Regeneration. This role focuses on analyzing large-scale human genomic and transcriptomic data, specifically whole exome sequencing (WES), variant discovery, and integrative analyses with clinical phenotypes to understand immune dysregulation in cardiovascular health. Day-to-day tasks involve building and maintaining robust WES pipelines, performing germline variant calling and association tests, and developing/extending analysis workflows using tools like Nextflow or Snakemake. The successful candidate will integrate WES results with multi-omics data (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq) and clinical endpoints, ensuring rigorous statistics and version control. This position offers a stimulating, international, and collaborative environment with flexible scheduling, excellent mentoring, and the opportunity to drive independent projects and publish high-impact research.
