The Field Service Technician acts as the primary technical contact for customers, performing independent inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations of medical equipment. Key responsibilities include performing software updates, providing safety training to hospital staff, and meticulously documenting all work according to legal standards. The ideal candidate possesses a technical background in electronics or IT systems, strong foundational knowledge of IT and networking, and the ability to work independently from a home office, utilizing a company car for travel. This is a crucial, customer-facing role requiring dedication, teamwork, and readiness for occasional on-call duty to maintain life-saving technology.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical vocational training (e.g., Electronics Technician for Information and Systems Technology, IT Systems Electronics Technician, Medical Technician, or Technical Assistant for Medical Device Technology)

Experience

  • Foundational knowledge in electronics
  • Strong interest in IT, especially network technology and operating systems
  • Initial experience in a medical technology environment (beneficial for rapid onboarding)
