Job Summary

This PhD Candidate position, based at the Institute of Nutritional Medicine in Lübeck, is part of the DFG-funded Research Training Group (RTG) 3095, focusing on antibody responses at immunological barrier organs. The successful candidate will conduct a four-year doctoral research project (subproject P08) specifically investigating the mechanisms underlying dysregulated B-cell function in Crohn’s disease (CD) patients. Day-to-day tasks involve hands-on research, active participation in the RTG’s structured training programs, and presenting findings to the research consortium. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in life sciences, an excellent command of English, and practical experience with flow cytometry and molecular/cellular biology techniques. The role is ideal for motivated researchers eager to apply bioinformatics approaches, including R, to analyze high-throughput datasets (like scRNA-seq) within a highly stimulating, state-of-the-art research environment.
